November is here and already I am noticing the chill in the air and the decreasing number of hours of sunlight each day… And as each day of the month passes by there is also the impending fear that Christmas is just around the corner and I we will not be ready for the annual flight of the fat man.
Still, November is not all doom and gloom. The shorter days and cooler evenings are a perfect excuse to head into the kitchen, get the cooker blazing and cook up some special meals for your loved ones.
So this month I will be setting myself a number of dishes to try out on the kids and Domesticated Mum including a stew, a warming cheese and potato bake perfect for warming the innards before heading out to see some fireworks on bonfire night, and a couple of treats yet to be decided to celebrate American Thanksgiving and the first birthday of this blog.
So don’t let the doom and gloom of November get you down, get in the kitchen and keep warm around the cooker… But don’t forget to keep coming back to see what I have cooked up here in my domesticated kitchen!
