A couple of weeks ago I finally found a recipe to make fluffy pancakes in the style of my Mom, and now I have discovered that in two minutes I can make a fantastic blueberry sauce to put on them.
Preparation time: less than one minute
Cooking time: 1 to 2 minutes
Skill level: easy
- 300 g fresh blueberries
- 3 tbsp orange juice
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- Wash the blueberries and place them into a small saucepan along with the orange juice and maple syrup.
- Gently bring to the boil and simmer for a minute or two until the berries burst. Then remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
This simple sauce is the perfect accompaniment for any dessert you normally put a syrup or sauce on. It would go perfectly with ice cream or even as a topping for some rice pudding.
