Blueberry Sauce in two minutes flat!

Pancakes with blueberry sauce

A couple of weeks ago I finally found a recipe to make fluffy pancakes in the style of my Mom, and now I have discovered that in two minutes I can make a fantastic blueberry sauce to put on them.

Blueberry Sauce

  • Preparation time: less than one minute
  • Cooking time: 1 to 2 minutes
  • Skill level: easy

Ingredients

  • 300 g fresh blueberries
  • 3 tbsp orange juice
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup

Method

  1. Wash the blueberries and place them into a small saucepan along with the orange juice and maple syrup.
  2. Gently bring to the boil and simmer for a minute or two until the berries burst. Then remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

Serving Suggestions

This simple sauce is the perfect accompaniment for any dessert you normally put a syrup or sauce on. It would go perfectly with ice cream or even as a topping for some rice pudding.
